This Space Engineers build is losely based on the original model. Given the differences I decided to turn it into a separate ship within the same line.

The Maiden II is a medium sized exploration vessel designed for long distance travel and sector presence establishment. For this purpose it carries a wing of auxillary vessels such as Miners, Repair Craft and Fighters.

 The Maiden II is only lightly armed and thus not designed for combat. Instead it is equipped with powerful set of engines and excellent maneuverability to quickly get out of trouble. Capable of atmospheric transit its downward facing hangar bay doors allow it to quickly deploy fighters, deliver personnel or drop off supplies to allied outposts.

The Maiden II's design actually resulted as a deployable atmospheric extension for the Harker Frigate. The two engine modules would be separate and attach to the Frigate while the central module, much smaller at the beginning, would be used to transport them. In the end I opted to keep the Harker Frigate as a solely space-worthy vessel and make the Maiden a ship of its own
