Description
The Dhilani Trident is a Cruiser and Carrier in service to the Dhilani Empire. A mile in length it not only participates in ship-to-ship combat but is also used to punch through blockades or defense screens to deliver invasion forces, which it carries in a trio of Invasion Landers attached to its three arms.
While docked, these invasion vessels are connected to the Trident's central control system and can act as additionial engine and weapon modules, providing their carrier with additional engine thrust and weapon power.

Dev notes & Origins
The Trident's original design was way less bulky and complex as it turned in the end. Based on a sketch it was basically a long cylinder with some vertical towers protruding from the rear engine section. An early draft also had a ring around the central axis, connecting both of the towers, but I ditched that one fairly soon.
