Chedalon is a Planet in the Andarian-System within the Ruby Wave Nebula. It is the 3rd celestial body within the system. It is classified as Capitol World.
Ecology & Climate
With an above-average warm climate, Chedalone is mostly covered by tropical rain forests. Its fertile conditions create a large variaty of life forms spreading over the planet's two main continents.
Population & Demography
Most cities are located on the larger continent, while the other one is a protected nature reservat. Delanos, with its 12 million inhabitants, is the planet's capitol and seat of the chedalonian Government.
History
Before the chedalonian civil war, the planet was governed with most of the population suffering under a cruel feudalistic dictatorship for several centuries, until a group of freedom fighters gathered and led a rebellion against the government. With their headquaters hidden within the jungles of the smaller continent they were hard to find and finally succeded in this war. It is subject to speculation, whether or not the revolutionaries were funded and mentored by the clandestine Khall Syndicate. Fact is, none the less, after the war Chedalon was reformed into a democracy, stabilizing its social integrity as well as reinforcing its standing amongst the other Worlds of the United Planets Alliance.
