New Imperial Starships Released

August 14, 2020

New Imperial Capships available!

As part of the XWA Upgrade's 20th Release anniversary, I'm happy to presend to you the next wave of badass imperial capital ships!

Imperial II-class Star Destroyer v2.0

This Starship has been a while in the making and many hands have been hard at work on the Opt. Originally converted from SW Galaxies by Driftwood, DTM tuned it and added cool Flightgroup colours. But, this wouldn't be a Star Destroyer with me getting my hands dirty on it, at least a bit. So I chimed in and did some overhauling of my own, improving various bits and pieces here and there to make it more screen accurate where possible. The new model features brand new engines, authentic ISD2 Octuple Barbette turrets and remodeled shield generators all of which more closely resemble what you see in the movies.

The ship comes with four great Flightgroup colours created by DTM: Default Imperial Clean, Rebel Alliance, New Republic, ISD Chimaera plus a neat bonus FG, the Errant Venture, which loads of cool advertising billboard banners all over the hull.

Along with that I also created a brand new inflight hangar which severely improves on the ridiculously oversized previous version and features a complete TIE Rack conveyor system complete with catwalks and observation decks as well as a highly detailed movie-accurate exterior bay. In addition, Ual002 has been going to town with recent Hook improvements from JeremyaFr on the Hangar map placement and created a fully lived-in Hangar full of Imperial ships and Fighters.

Victory II-class Star Destroyer v2.0

I have been teasing this one for quite a while and after the release of the VSD1 remake, this was of course a no-brainer. This one, like the VSD1 is a complete remake with a highly detailed model and completely revamped HD textures. There are two key differences to the V1:

- Instead of the wingless design, I have added a pair of solid closed wings, matching most contemporary canon depictions.

- I have removed the quartet of typical hyperdrive engines to make it more distinguishable from the ISD.

It also comes with a set of new flightgroup colors: Default Imperial Clean, Task Force Nightfall, Rebel Alliance, Damaged, as well as a fifth, shiny-glowy TRON Flightgroup.

That's all for now, now get out there and have fun!
