Cophura Crisis:
For a long time the people of the planet Cophuran were hailed and respected for their bravery and virtue as great warriors. Sometimes though, times change.
For centuries the Hedrec System has been divided, controlled by the two great clans - Vaylon of Bricera and Khisar of Torlax. And as long these families had been in power, a cold war been brewing between them, with each regarding the other with suspicion, apprehension and envy. War seemed immanent yet never erupted, as the two clans fortified their borders and spied on one another. Utilizing political guile either clan intended to win the fringe planets over to their side and every so often one family would manage to gain an advantage just to lose one somewhere else. Thus all in all a certain balance was kept.
Eventually though rumors arose that a wind of change hangs in the air. While the aging Briceran Overlord Sorrin Vaylon insisted to maintain a course of moderation, ignoring the continuing provocations by Torlacian Patriarch Dalor Khisar, his young son, Jarris, subtly continued to gather familiars amongst the Briceran military and navy, convinced that Torlax is plotting against Bricera - all awhile in secret and unbeknown to his father developing and progressing his own plans against the Khisar clan. Change seems ever so immanent. All signs point at a cosmic event, an approximation of two planets, each controlled by one faction. Anticipating a potential attack on the mining world of Hedrec, Jarris Vaylon secretly reinforces local defense forces - an act which many see as just as much provocation as precaution.
And indeed the attack comes, ultimately pitting the two families against one another - for the first time, in fact. Executing numerous retaliative strikes the two families almost seem to warm up for a grand finale, until Torlax breaks the rules and goes one step too far. Calling out a diplomatic meeting of the two heads he claims to be eager to settle the bloody feud for good. Shocked by recent events yet still hoping for a peaceful solution, Vaylon agreed to the meeting. He insists on bringing his son Jarris - an attempt to teach him a lesson about diplomacy. Jarris, however refuses violently, openly calling his father a naive fool, unable to see the writing on the wall. Already en route to the rendezvous Jarris stole a small starfighter and snuck away - just in time to watch as his father's ship is ambushed by a Khisar flotilla, who destroyed the ship within a few minutes, forcing Jarris to watch his father die.
Fueled by his rage and equally bolstered by his instincts confirmed, Jarris manages to escape the slaughter and return to Bricera. Taking over his father's place as leader of the clan he gathers the Briceran forces and declares open war against Torlax. A centuries long feud climaxes in a short but intense war. After only a few days of open space battles - aided by the use of assassins taking out key members of the Khisar clan - the Briceran forces break through the Torlacian defenses and launch an invation of the Khisar homeworld.
With the dying gasp of Overlord Dalor Khisar the remaining clan was shattered. Torlax, and all its governed planets were claimed and subjected under Briceran government.
Keeping close tabs on all the dealings across the known territory, the Khal Syndicate has been watching the escalation between the two clans with increasing concern. Fearing a major destabilization of the entire sector, they sent an operative to infiltrate one faction and restore the stability, a measure that granted impulsive young Jarris Vaylon his unexpectedly quick victory over the Khisar clan. WIth the open conflict resolved the agent's purpose was to remain attached and carefully guide the newly expanded colonial reign on a more stabilizing course. Seeking friendship and taking influence on both Jarris Vaylon and his new Supreme Commander Tarlon Cervis, the Syndicate agent - Vince Trageton - moves them into a position where they agree to diplomatic negotiations with other worlds, namely Cophuran and Sinix. As a result of these negotiations the Treaty of Hedrec is signed which forms an alliance of star systems, sharing and exchanging political, commercial and military efforts as a means to facilitate and ensure intersysstem travel and trade. The Alliance shall be known as the United Planets.
Barely ten years after its foundation, the galactic alliance faces its first real crisis. Under the rule of Dictator Pharas the Dhilani arrive at Bricera with the intention to capture and colonise the UPA's capital planet.
For the first time the alliance prooves its real worth, by successfully fighting off several invasion attempts. Under the command of Supreme Commander Vince Trageton the UPMF strike back against the Dhilani invaders and defeat their forces in a great great Battle for Bricera.
But the crisis is not yet over. In fact it has just begun. During the course of events, Lady Shiromy Vaylon has been kidnapped and held captive by the Dhilai. Trying to protect her from being captured, Tarlon Cervis is killed. Enraged by these losses Overlord Jarris Vaylon leads a crusade against the Dilani homeworld Dhilon itself to rescue Lady Shiromy and avenge his close friend's death. Without their great fleet the Dhilani themselves now face a deadly threat since the Briceran Overlord seems to be driven by an unknown force and - obviously no longer in control of himself - intends to wipe out the entire Dhilani race, an act that won't stay unnoticed.

Briceran Crusade:
After fending off the Dhilani Invasion the UPMF mobilize their forces for a retaliatory strike against the Dhilani Empire.
The Dhilani invasion on Bricera is repelled, but this victory is only the prelude to one of the darkest chapters in United Planets history. Shattered by the loss of one of his closest of friends and the kidnapping of his wife, Jarris Vaylon finds himself struggling with himself. Pursuing justice, as he claims, he is driven to seek revenge on the Dhilani and calls upon his most trusted allies to follow him on a crusade for the heart of the enemy: their homeworld Dhilon.
Not everyone approves and some UPA members withdraw their forces, claiming Vaylon to pursue a personal fued. Further enrage he pushes on and orders course to be set for the Dhilani homeworld.
Arriving at Dhilon in full force the Briceran fleet unleashes its full firepower and, in what is later referred to as the Dhilon holocaust the Dhilani capitol Dhalarona Prime is obliterated by a direct hit from the UPMF flagship's fusion cannon. This incident, however, causes him to lose the allegiance of many of his followers, first of all Vince Trageton, who accuses Vaylon to have lost control over himself. A struggle erupts between the two in which Trageton is knocked out and imprisoned.
Waking up hours later Trageton is freed by Vaylon's wife Shiromy, who after her return found herself confronted and interrogated by Vaylon as though she were an enemy spy and, fearing her husband has lost his mind, seeks out Trageton to help her escape this madness. Together, accompanied by those still loyal to Trageton, they flee and seek refuge on Cophuran, where Trageton addresses the recent development in front of the Cophuranee senate.
With the void within UPA leadership left by Jarris Vaylon's death, his greatest rival, Khetarian lobbyist Phlic Aelhoc seizes the opportunity and takes over control over the United Planets. Using his new power, he denounces Vince Trageton and Shiromy Vaylon as traitors and murderers and declares them enemies of the Alliance. Both are imprisoned. Vince and Shiromy realise the United Planets in grave danger. With the help of the still loyal crew of the Warrior they break from prison and re-capture the Briceran flagship. Resolved to act against Aelhoc, who is turning the United Planets into a dictatorial monarchy they dedicate themselves to a life as rebels hoping to bring down Aelhoc's regime and restore the old order.
Proscribed, exile but yet resolved. the organization grows in strength and influence. Due to the graveness of the situation, the Khall Syndicate sees reason for intervention and votes to support the rebels in their quest to bring down the corrupt Khetarian regime.
Several months have passed since Vince Trageton and his allies have declared themselves outspoken rebels against the former united planets. After numerous raids and attacks from the small yet growing band of renegades the UPMF are planning a large scale offensive against the organization. All awhile, Trageton and his familiars are making plans of themselves. By now the rebels have gained support from all areas of galactic societies and old ties prove very useful.
While Aelhoc finds it increasingly difficult trying to keep up the new order, the UPMF are obsessed to hunt down Trageton and his followers and extinguish the strenghtening rebellion. Focused onn their target they fail to see the dangers that Trageton's carefully laid out plan poses to their very heart. The days of Aelhoc's dictatorship seem numbered.
